Background:
The Finance Committee shall be chaired by that person who will be Treasurer on the subsequent July 1, plus four other members. The President-Elect is a de facto member of the Finance Committee.

The Committee's duties will include: the development of an operating budget for the next fiscal year for presentation to the Society at the Annual Meeting, and to be voted upon and approved by the voting members present; submit supplements to the budget for the current fiscal year to the Board for approval; and, prepare for presentation at the Annual Meeting any recommendations on the establishment of dues for the following fiscal year. The approved budget will take effect July 1 ( the first day of the new fiscal year). -- from SACME Bylaws
