Background:
The Membership Committee's duties will be to process applications from prospective voting and continuing members, to recommend all such processed applications to the Society Board for certification of eligibility. The Membership Chair will forward membership actions to the Executive Secretariat to maintain a current membership roster. The Executive Secretariat will maintain a current roster on the Society web site.

The Executive Secretariat will be authorized to release a copy of the current membership roster to outside persons or organizations only at the approval of the President. The Board will set a schedule of fees to be paid by the recipient(s) of the roster. Members will be advised of any such distribution or sale(s) of the roster and the rationale for such action(s). -- from SACME Bylaws
