We're thrilled to announce our first Virtual Research Roundtable (VRR), a unique opportunity for individuals to deepen their research knowledge and connect with peers. This casual 1-hour webinar will feature a presentation by one of our esteemed colleagues on a specific research method or topic.
Following the short presentation, engage in a dynamic conversation with the presenter and other colleagues. You'll have the chance to ask questions, explore how the presented concepts can enhance your own research, and discuss potential collaborative opportunities.

Speaker
Bita Zakeri, PhD
Bita Zakeri is the Director of Professional Programs and Affiliate Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She specializes in accredited continuing education in healthcare, educational program development and evaluation in health sciences. She has numerous publications and presentations and is very active in the scholarly societies within continuing healthcare education.
Prior to joining Northeastern University, she served as the Director of Continuing Education in Healthcare Professions at Indiana University School of Medicine. While there, she enhanced the caliber of program assessment, established scholarly practice in CE, restructured their pricing model, and brought the division to financial compliance and profitability among other achievements during her time there.
Prior to her role at Indiana University, she was the CPD Curriculum Design and Research Lead in the Continuing Health Sciences Education at McMaster University where she spearheaded research, designed and implemented enhanced assessment model for CE and faculty evaluation. She received her doctorate from Indiana University in Education focusing on adult education, immigrant and minority education, institutional and sociocultural literacy development, and research methodology.
She has an extensive background in research design and has acquired several grants in support of research and educational projects. She was awarded the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Dissertation Award (2015-2016) in support of her doctoral research. In addition to her career in Continuing Education in Healthcare, she has held teaching faculty positions in various institutions.
