    50th Anniversary Donation Campaign

    As SACME enters its 50th anniversary year it is launching a donation campaign to ensure the future of the organization and its valuable programming. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, SACME remains dedicated to adapting its offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of today’s CPD/CE professionals and those of future generations. By supporting this campaign, donors will be contributing to a legacy of excellence in healthcare education, allowing SACME to maintain its critical role in shaping the future of medical learning and improving patient care worldwide.

    Donor Recognition
    These donations can be made in any amount, offering vital support for various needs.
    SACME plans to utilize these contributions for four primary purposes:
    • Defraying Costs: funds can be applied toward operational costs. They could, for example, be used to build an operating reserve, with the goal of raising one year of operational expenses.

    • Travel Awards: provide the ability to offer travel awards to emeritus members, trainees, or individuals in lower-middle income countries. These funds can be used to offset travel expenses for the awardee(s) to attend SACME’s Annual Meeting.

    • Seed Grants: to further SACME’s mission of advancing scholarship in CPD/CE, seed grants can be offered to members, including early career. The Scholarship Committee would oversee the review and selection process, ensuring that the grant supports initiatives aligned with SACME’s goals and values.

    • Scholarship: provide the ability to offer a scholarship for a member to attend the CPD Scholarship Program. These funds can be used to offset the registration fee required to enroll in the program.

    Other Donation Opportunities

    The Dave Davis Distinguished Award for Excellence in Mentorship in Continuing Professional Development, established in 2016 through a generous gift from Cynthia Parker and Michael Fordis, MD, honors the outstanding career of Dave Davis, MD. This fund creates awards for mentorship of SACME members. To support this fund, donate here.
