Membership Information

Select this category if you're a professional working in the CPD/CE field and have experience and/or demonstrated interest in developing, managing, and/or delivering theory and evidence-based CPD. Voting Members are individuals whose scholarship or other education objectives and activities are consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles of the Society. The benefits of this membership include JCEHP, Intercom, and CE News subscriptions, access to the Harrison Survey, the Society’s Listserv, Member Portal, and member-pricing registration to SACME events, both in-person and virtual. Voting Members are also eligible to hold office.

Select this category if you're an individual CPD/CE professional working for a Medical Education Communications Company or other eligible (as determined by the ACCME) for-profit organizations within the CE/CPD field. Applicants should apply if they have demonstrated interest and experience in scholarship in the field of CPD/CE. The benefits of this membership include JCEHP, Intercom, and CE News subscriptions and member pricing registration to SACME events (including Virtual Journal Clubs and Educational Webinars). Affiliate Members do not have the right to vote or hold office.

Select this category if you are in a new entry-level or mid-level position (such as, but not limited to: coordinators, administrative assistants, and managers). If you’re in the first 3 years of employment in the CPD/CE field, we invite you to join SACME for a 50% discount. Early Career Members in good standing are eligible to serve on most committees and participate in other initiatives. Only select this option if you are 0-3 years into your career. This membership category does not apply to persons in leadership roles (i.e. directors, deans, etc.)

Select this category if you're a student, resident, or fellow whose scholarship or other educational objectives and activities are consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles of the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education. Trainee Members are entitled to all the rights and privileges of Voting Members with the exception of the right to vote and to hold office.
