Tanya Horsley, PhD, MBA

Dr. Tanya Horsley is Director of Research and Evaluation at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, where she leads the College's national research strategy and oversees its research grants and awards portfolio. She also serves as Chair of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) Grants Network. An internationally recognized expert in evidence synthesis, knowledge translation, and research methodology, Dr. Horsley has contributed to the development of international reporting standards and initiatives that strengthen the quality and transparency of health professions education research.

Her current scholarship focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence into medical education, continuing professional development, and health professions education. She is a 2025 AMS–Fitzgerald Fellow in AI and Human-Centred Leadership, invited faculty with the Harvard Macy Institute's Leading Innovations Program, and a member of the Royal College Task Force on Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Horsley has authored nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications and has received several national awards for her contributions to medical education research, including the 2025 Dave Davis Award for Research in Continuing Medical Education.
