SACME HyFlex Guidebook Webinar 2 - Designing for Participation: Teaching Presence

Effective HyFlex learning does not happen by simply streaming an in-person event. It requires intentional design, facilitation, and coordination.

Using the same case introduced in Session 1, participants will explore how teaching presence influences planning, facilitation, and follow-up in HyFlex environments. Participants will examine strategies for creating equivalent learning opportunities across modalities while managing facilitator work and cognitive load.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Apply principles of teaching presence to the design and facilitation of HyFlex learning.

2. Identify facilitation and technology practices that support teaching efficiency and effectiveness across modalities.
